Coaching

Executive & Leadership Coaching

Clients engage in Executive and Leadership Coaching for support at the chief philanthropy officer and executive director level and those aspiring to these roles.  They often come to coaching to have a partner to talk through taking on new responsibilities, big decisions or changes, challenging organizational dynamics, new strategies, difficult conversations, management challenges, team structure, or important feedback that might be holding them back.  Our program serves a critical role for leaders who often need a sounding board to maximize their impact.

The International Coaching Federation (ICF) defines coaching as partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their potential.  Through deep listening, powerful questions, and a variety of coaching techniques and tools, a coach will help a client uncover what is getting in their way of moving forward.  The client generates solutions, creating long-term learning and growth.  This process helps clients dramatically improve their outlook, while improving their leadership skills and unlocking their potential.

ICF certified coaches adhere to the ICF Code of Ethics; all coaching is confidential.

Productivity Coaching

Clients typically choose productivity coaching for their major gifts team members with the idea that investing in their talent is critical to ROI and retention and is viewed as a benefit of employment when candidates are choosing between organizations.  Creating a “coaching culture” is what the next generation of major gifts officers are looking for -- where team members are encouraged and supported in maximizing results -- but often managers don’t have the time or skill set to work with team members in this way.  A Productivity Coach provides this resource without needing to invest in bringing this skillset in-house.

Productivity Coaching follows the same tenants of coaching while supporting team members in achieving their metrics and fundraising goals.

DISC, Driving Forces, and EQ Assessments

Assessments are an incredible tool for self-discovery.  We include assessments as a component of all of our coaching engagements.  We also offer assessments - partnered with a debrief - separately.  They include DISC (how you do what you do), Driving Forces (Why you do what you do), and EQ (Emotional Intelligence).  Together, these three assessments provide a great entry point to coaching or your individual journey.

Consulting

Major Gifts Program Development

85% of non-profit revenue comes through major gifts, and yet many organizations aren’t focused on this.  We work with organizations to build, prioritize, and operationalize a major gifts model that is customized for their organization.

Fundraising Audit & Planning

Taking a fresh look at your fundraising program and creating a thoughtful fundraising plan is a cornerstone for non-profit success.  We work with organizations to help them think through all of the components of their program, create the timeline and necessary steps, and execute on the plan.

Strategy Development and Support

Working with CDOs and other non-profit leaders, we are frequently called in to provide support for difficult conversations, team strategy, and people dynamics from boards to donors.  We provide a sounding board and thought partnership.

Teams

Retreat Planning & Development

Creating a retreat plan that is both engaging and thoughtful is often the last thing a chief development officer or executive director has time for.  We work with you to think through your goals for the day, create an agenda that supports your goals, and develop meaningful content to maximize your time and impact on your team.

DISC Facilitation

DISC assessments with a team are impactful and fun!  We love working with teams to better understand the personalities in the group, where there might be conflict, and how they can work together better.  This is a great component as part of a retreat or a stand-alone program.
